- I'm the listowner / listmanager of the i-amiga mailing-list - probably one of the oldest amiga mailing-lists in the world.

- I'm a licensed Radio Amateur - G7RZQ and now VA3NNW.
- A few years ago I decided to build an Elecraft K2 transceiver to get myself onto the HF bands.
- More recently I've been writing a google maps app to display the NCDXF/IARU Beacons (work in progress)
- and porting a Javascript Morse Tutor to teach myself CW
- I'm soon hoping to put up a tower to get better DX
- The tower will probably have a weather station on it, probably similar to my friend James' Weather station in Cambridge, UK
- In the meantime my best local weather stations are the University of Waterloo's weather station [graphs] or KWARC's VE3KSR Weather on Baden Hill

- I'm a member of, and webmaster for, The Institute For Impure Science, which is a sort of sci-fi/fantasy/horror/cult/etc society based where I went to uni.
- I have been known to jump off of bridges, cable-cars, and even helicopters, without a parachute, with this bunch of self-confessed mad b'stard bungy-jumpers
- People often ask me about the taglines that appear at the end of my emails. The huge list can be downloaded. I've got a program that chooses a different one at random every hour or so.
